Privacy Policy

Paṭṭ Krīḍā (पट्ट क्रीडा) — "the app", "we" — is a game of traditional Bhāratīya board games, published by Vagambhrini. This policy explains what the app collects and why. We designed the app to work fully offline; online features are optional.
What we collect
- A handle (@name) and display name — the name shown to friends and on leaderboards. You choose these; they need not be your real name.
- Email address (optional) — only if you use the "save progress across devices" sign-in link, or Sign in with Apple / Google. Used solely to restore your profile on a new device. Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email" is fully supported.
- A device identifier — a random ID generated on your device to keep your local profile and game history attached to your account.
- Game results — scores, streaks, and match outcomes, so leaderboards, achievements, and tournaments work.
We do NOT collect: contacts, location, photos, microphone, precise identifiers for advertising, or any browsing activity. The app contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.
Playing offline
If you never use online play, the app stores everything locally on your device only and sends us nothing.
How we use it
Only to run the features you use: online matches, friend challenges, leaderboards, tournaments, and cross-device restore. We do not sell or share your data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
Push notifications
If you enable them, we send notifications about game invitations and your turn in async matches (via Apple/Google push services). You can turn these off in your device settings at any time.
Children's privacy
The app is family-friendly and suitable for children. We collect no more than the minimal handle/optional-email described above, show no ads, and include no external links or chat with strangers. Online interaction is limited to turn-based moves and pre-set friend challenges — there is no free-text chat. Parents who want a data-free experience can simply play offline.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your profile and all associated online data at any time from the app's profile screen, or by emailing us. On deletion, your handle, email, and game records are removed from our servers.
